Blizzard's past six months have shown a company that was changing
I really don"t quite understand the Fergusson pick at first glance, given that his previous encounter between Gears and BioShock doesn"t have much to do with ARPGs, looters or games in the medieval fantasy genre. However, I guess that he"s being brought in for the actual task of getting the game shipped rather than designing the nitty gritty of loot systems or anything like that, something that he appears to Diablo Gold be rather good at, thus his continuous recruitment.
It"s simply too difficult to know what to make of Diablo 4 now given how little we"ve seen and how much along development it seems to be. And now of course that raises further questions regarding the near future of Gears with no leadership over at Microsoft, especially after the much acclaimed preceding setup he mimicked. It"s difficult to comprehend how badly Blizzard requires Diablo 4 to be helpful, and so it is going to be all hands on deck for the foreseeable future. And now that comprises Rod Fergusson. What a wild industry.
Changes like these aren"t of note to the average video game player -- all of the time change jobs, after all. However, Fergusson"s studio swap is curious when we think about the wider shifts happening at Blizzard recently.
Followers of this game industry may know Fergusson from nicknames such as"the fixer" and"the nearer " The man has made a name for himself over the years as the type of individual that can run a tight ship and buy Diablo IV Gold deliver projects across the finish line. Perhaps most notably, he helped BioShock Infinite conquer years of development hell, shaping it up into a product that was received positively by the general public.
